Frequently Asked Questions
Where do sessions take place?
We offer video sessions online and in-person sessions Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 9:00pm in our Houston office.
Who do you work with?
We work with couples and individual adults and also provide an affirming environment to adults and couples who identify as LGBTQIA.
Do you offer telehealth, online sessions, or video sessions?
Yes, we use a secure HIPAA compliant platform to offer video counseling. If you have any questions about this process reach out to us here.
Can we do marriage counseling and EMDR online?
Absolutely! We conduct marriage counseling online to couples in Texas and provide EMDR therapy through a HIPAA compliant and secure platform during our video sessions.
How long do counseling sessions typically last?
We meet with couples 85 minutes each week and individuals for 55 minutes each week. Longer sessions are available. Family sessions are 55-85 minutes, depending on your family’s needs.
How often do we meet?
We’ve found that clients who come to therapy weekly make the most progress and notice the most improvement as they work toward their goals. You and your therapist will choose a time that works well for you and will meet weekly at that time until you meet your goals.
How long will I need to come to counseling?
Doing healing work at this level takes time and commitment to see change. For that reason, we will meet with you weekly and we’ll regularly measure your progress. On average, our clients attend therapy for 6 months and even up to 3-5 years.
How do I know if I really need counseling?
Clients who call us say that they have read books watched online videos, and tried to apply the things they learned to their lives. Even with all that work, they still notice that they fight too much with their partner, don’t sleep well, and feel anxious or depressed much of the day, and are unhappy in their job or with their life.
How much do sessions cost?
