Emily Henderson, LMFT Associate, CSAT Candidate

Hello! I am Emily Henderson (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (#204942), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate (CSAT Candidate). I am supervised by David Lawson Ph.D, LMFT-S, Lic. (#2137).

I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I work to build a trusting relationship with my clients to help them reach their therapeutic goals. I am interested in assisting with a wide variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, communication skills, boundaries, and women’s and men’s sexual health. I work with multiple modalities and try to integrate my therapy practice to what will be most beneficial to the clients. However, I typically work with Solution Focused, Narrative, CBT, and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy. I am also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and enjoy working with couples utilizing this theory.

In my free time, I love trying new activities, such as yoga, pickleball, run club, and dance classes. I grew up playing tennis and try to stay active now through lifting weights and running (being generous here, mostly just jogging). I believe in a mind and body connection, so I try to implement that into my own life. In my downtime, I like to hang out with my friends or my cat and read a good book or make it through my long list of Netflix shows I want to watch.
